Last May, The American Pavilion celebrated its 25th anniversary as the de facto hospitality and communications center for Americans at the Cannes International Film Festival in France. Much of The Pavilion’s success is a result of the enthusiasm and energy of the students who take part in our various Student Programs, each of which is designed to complement a student's school experience by offering opportunities to network with (and learn from) thought leaders on both the creative and business sides of the industry.
After helping thousands of students launch careers in the entertainment and hospitality industries, The Pavilion added “Intensives” to provide students a more intimate experience directly related to their areas of interest:
• Our Los Angeles Intensive is targeted to students planning a career in the industry in Hollywood. Last year’s program was another resounding success, with students participating from as far as Montreal and Canberra, Australia!
• Our Venice Intensive allows students to participate in one of the film industry’s oldest and most important international festivals, providing unparalleled opportunities to see films from all over the world.
This year, for the first time, The American Pavilion is offering a Cannes Lions Intensive, a nine-day program this coming June in the beautiful seaside town of Cannes, France, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
With some12,000 delegates from over 90 countries participating to view shortlisted work, attend seminars, workshops, and master classes, and celebrate the finest of creativity in all forms of brand communication, Cannes Lions, often called the world’s biggest ad festival, is undoubtedly the largest gathering of worldwide marketers, designers, advertising professionals, and digital innovators.
