The YOA Orchestra of the Americas is looking to hire a paid intern responsible for implementing a press and media plan related to the visit of YOA Orchestra of the Americas to New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario from July 5 through August 4, 2015. The Tour Communications Officer works to cultivate relationships with local press contacts in order to develop magazine, newspaper, television, and radio coverage related to the tour. The Tour Communications Officer also works to organize and manage press conferences in major cities related to the tour (Moncton, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City). In addition, the Officer manages the social media presence of the tour. The YOA Orchestra has specifically reached out to Concordia Communications students due to the multilingual nature of the student body and the fact that the tour will take place largely in the region of the university!
Limited, remote work begins in April, on site full-time work will take place from July 3rd to August 5th. Pay is 3,000, and housing, travel, and meal costs are covered!
